COVID-19 UPDATE, March 17, 2020
Our trees will be planted on Saturday March 21, 2020, but given the current public health situation, and following the guidance by public health officials, we feel obligated to take the following steps to minimize the spread of the virus:
- A hand washing station and hand sanitizer will be available, and we’ll ask everyone to wash as they enter the property.
- We will be changing the planting workflow to eliminate tool sharing, and close contact among individuals.
- We will not be preparing any food for participants. We’ll have drinks and pre-packaged snacks available. You’re welcome to bring-your-own food. You’re even welcome to use our gas grill. We have picnic tables.
- We will not be offering marshmallow roasting. We’ll have a huge bonfire in the middle of the field. It’ll probably be too hot to get close enough to roast marshmallows, anyway.
As this situation continues to evolve, we’re continuing to watch the local developments. If we need to post an update to this event, we’ll do so on this page, and we’ll email the participants who have submitted an RSVP.
