If you’re new to the L3901, you might be wondering, “Where is the oil dipstick located on this tractor?!” and I’ll admit, its really not obvious.

In fact, its so buried, even the owners manual has a hard time pointing out where it is located.

The position and location of the oil dipstick is one of my few complaints about this tractor (see more in my video titled, Complaints About The Kubota L3901 After 80 Hours of Use).

The dipstick is located on the left side of the engine, as viewing the engine seated in the driver’s seat.

Sandwiched between wiring and two hydraulic lines, and recessed a couple inches to make it just a little more difficult to access, you’ll find the oil dipstick.

Its a round plug, no handle, no label, and its painted the same color as everything else so it blends in.
